They aren't that much more in reality. I got a skateboard there. It was $120. Longboard are better equipped for linger trips. Skateboards for tricks. Many longboards are made of bambo or other flexible woods. Different materials, different purposes, different prices, ya know?
Yes, they do. Like Jonas Bartek already said. At the very least I recommend going in and checking it out. Really cool crew. Awesome skate park. Great boards.
