Ralph Lauren but no Ralph Lauren, sadly but not surprisingly & the shoe stocking lumbago complaining boomer geezer didn't notice by design wannabe customer(s) surreptitiously, randomly removing shoes from boxes, sometimes putting shoes in the wrong box and/or boxes in wrong place, whatever, in nearby shoe aisles in silent protest. Hoping for a more cheerier holiday shopping experience next time.

I see help wanted signs there constantly and have filled out interviews and talked to a girl who seemed like she liked me. I called and left a message more than once, and no call back! Very rude.. suspect it’s age discrimination.

Marshall’s in Brewster has stepped up their customer experience game! Clean, uncluttered, clearly visible overhead signage, well stocked with good quality and great value items, a fast moving checkout, and best of all...excellent customer service. Extra kudos and a shiny 🌟 to this specific location for hiring an intellectually disabled greeter and cart-sanitizer! This young man gave me the best welcome I have ever received at any business establishment. It was sincere and delivered with enthusiastic energy. It went like this: Greeter: “ Welcome to Marshall’s. How are you today?” Me: “ I am great. How about you?” Greeter: “ I thought I was having a great day but now that you’ve walked in, it got even better!” Me: “Well that’s the best start to a shopping experience! Thank you!” His peers were smiling as if they’d heard him say this before to other customers. Probably similar to the one all parents use with each of their children to make them feel special, “You’re my favorite child but don’t tell the others.” 😜He’s so genuine, I doubt he’s capable of deliberate insincerity, and I don’t care! In that moment it felt great to hear it and be valued for being the next customer who walked through the door. I was also helped by a diligent young lady who immediately stopped neatening shelves when I asked her for help searching for a pattern and size garment that I’d already given up on finding. I don’t know which of us was more excited when she found it in 8 minutes. I went on to spend over $450. In the next hour and walked out the store happy. What makes this store remarkable is that it would not have mattered if I was coming in to browse and not spend a single penny. The welcoming and helpful attitude was there.
