I've gotten various barrels and buckets for a very low price. I even built a houseboat with 28 of the plastic 55 gallon drums.

I needed a place to take various types of paper for recycling. This place takes it all. Helpful hint: Sort your paper products by office paper/junk mail, newspaper, magazines, wrapping paper, cardboard, books, shredded. They take a lot of other stuff, too. Two thumbs up!!!

Not handicap accessible. They used to open the doors, so those of us with disabilities could drive in and put our recycling in the bins. Now, they expect everyone to park outside and walk everything in, which just is not possible for many disabled folx. I was so disappointed, since they had let us drive in in the past but will no longer.

Yes
No, we do not.
The price varies depending on market demands. However, we do not purchase materials from the general public, only commercial and/or industrial customers.
We are a designated electronic item collection site for Jackson County, but we do not pay for electronic items, nor do we own items that have been dropped off.
Yes, we do. There is a county limit of 10 electronic items per person, per month. Please visit our website for more details about materials and items we can and cannot accept.
If you go to Home Improvement Warehouse in carbondale they give away wooden pallets for free. They set them at the entrance of the driveway
donations only
https://www.southernrecyclingcenter.com/electronics Their website says they take computers and CRT monitors so you should be good to go.
They do accept cardboard boxes from the public, yes. They should be empty, reasonably clean and free from oil or grease stains/contamination (i.e no greasy pizza boxes).
Now that's considered trash we do not take them but we do take wooden pallets
Call Cimco orT&T recycling to dispose of junk cars .
No, we actually prefer the items to be unbagged so they can be sorted into corresponding bins for each material.
No, we cannot pay for electronics.
Don't know, but they take cans
More than 10 you have to get a permit from the health dept. We do take them...
No, there is no charge to drop off electronics. You may drop off up to 10 items per month.
Yes
No. Simco in Carbondale does. They will come to where the car is and pick it up.
No. No longer paint cans are taken. They use to at one time but regulations have changed. I hope this helped.
No. Unfortunately styrofoam is not recyclable.
Yes, we accept Christmas lights!
No, you don't have to be a resident.
No, we do not accept tires.
Yes, we accept cooking pans- regular and non-stick.
Yes, we do.
We will be closed on July 4th. Have a safe holiday!
Yes, we accept laundry detergent bottles with and without lids. They should be rinsed out, but the labels do not need to be removed.
Plastic bottles do not require a lid. The bottle needs to be a "lid-style" bottle (ie- "blow molded"). So, a plastic jar, soda bottle, etc. is fine with or without the lid. However, an open "lid-less" style container, such as a bucket, or plastic cup would not be accepted. The description on our website may have been a misleading. We're updating that to prevent any further confusion. Thanks!
The only batteries we can accept are car batteries.
We do not offer shredding services.
