Overall, the Anchorage is a nice place to stay, but I do feel it is a bit overpriced for what you get. For the same amount of money you can get flight and hotel to some other destinations for around $300 more. The pool area is nice, but is very crowded as the pools are not that big. The thing is, there aren't many places with pools in OGT, especially on the marginal way. The room we stayed in, in the towers, was a little smaller than a standard hotel room. You could not set the air conditioning unit to your desired temperature, the toilet was a bit loose and the soundproofing between floors was not great. Additionally, the air conditioner was loud and would turn on and off throughout the night, waking you up. You could not keep the AC fan on, which would have been enough white noise to drown out the people above us. While I understand they are trying to keep non-guests away from the pool area, I felt uneasy at the pool and on the grounds as they are constantly "patrolling". This can make it difficult to relax. For some bright spots: the location is beautiful and the grounds are meticulously kept. The reception staff are all very nice. There are only a handful of hotels on the marginal way. If you want to be on the marginal way and have a pool, there aren't many other options. Overall it feels like a five start location with a three star hotel in terms of value and overall experience.

Great spot and amenities. Had some good service and some poor service. Rooms are not worth the price. This place charges extra for everything. Anyone over 3 is considered an adult in the room and has an extra cost. The worst part was the constant scrutiny felt while staying here. There was security everywhere and not for safety of the guests. To catch people doing things that they can charge more for. It was very hard to relax when the pool attendants are constantly checking wristbands and front staff is watching cameras of all parts of the resort. Not sure I will return. Definitely not worth the cost.

The hotel location was awesome and the room itself was clean and cozy. The staff was horrible. We drove 5 hours there and then they tell us we can only have 1 car per room (it was a room for 4 people). So we paid 30 a night for offsite parking half a mile away for the extra car. Then they charged my card twice for the room. Spent 2 hours on the phone with the bank and hotel. Hotel said they didn’t charge me twice. Bank said they definitely did charge me twice. The bank was able to cancel the additional charge, then the hotel charged me again the next day!!! I finally got reimbursed by the hotel 3 days later after they must have seen they made a mistake. And the whole time we were doing this, the hotel staff was extremely rude. They were rude when I checked in and very rude while I was trying to show them they double charged me. While the hotel and I were on hold with the bank for a supervisor, the hotel just hung up after 30 seconds of being on hold! They couldn’t have cared less that they double charged me. Love this area of Maine but will not stay at this hotel again.

Wonderful experience! Friendly staff, beautiful property, and amazing views of the ocean. Great place to walk on Marginal Way with, sort of, easy access to the beach. Clean and modern rooms but the unit we stayed in was a little small. They had a meal package for $110 which included dinner and breakfast for two at the properties restaurant Surf Point 360. The dinner was amazing!!! Breakfast really great as well!! This was our first time here and we are definitely going to return. Now we came during off season but you would never know it by activity on the property. Everything was open with the exception of the outdoor pool. Indoor pool and two outdoor hot tubs were great. They have two fire pits with plenty of chairs that overlook the Atlantic... beautiful!! I'm sure summer time is a lot different but if you're looking for a nice getaway in an awesome environment with reasonable prices during off season you won't be disappointed. Eileen was extremely helpful during check-in letting us know what was happening around town. Very professional answering all of our questions with a smile and patience. If you knew my wife you would understand...lol. Wonderful experience!! Loved this place!!!

5 minute walk to the beach and a beautiful walk it is
If you are going like now in February...ask the front desk if you can park there for dinner ...they may have room with it being down season
It depends on when you book, the busier season (like summer and early fall) can be up to 60 days, but usually it's around 30
Sure is .... in your room or in the lobby on your way to sit and enjoy the view of the ocean!
This is not the hotel
