Would not recommend Surfside Banfield to anyone traveling with their pets. We have the Wellness Plans on both of our dogs and one of them ended up sick while on vacation this week. One of the perks of this plan is supposed to be same day work in at any Banfield if your pet is sick. I called this one since we were staying in Surfside and it was only 6 miles away. The lady I spoke with said nothing available until the next day. I explained that we would be traveling home the next day and could not make that appointment. That is when she said to call the one at North Myrtle Beach an hour away. Since our dog was vomiting and had diarrhea for 24 hrs, I made that call. Only thing I would thank Surfside Banfield for is the referral to a more understanding and compassionate Banfield location. If you need a vet I suggest to call the one in North Myrtle Beach to start with and avoid Surfside Banfield.

How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 27, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 27, 2020

You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?

Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 27, 2020
Banfield Pet Hospital | Sep 27, 2020

Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).

how much for dog exam

When you purchase a Wellness Plan for your dog depending on there age, the monthly cost will be approximately 25.00 to 55.00 range which will include unlimited office visits per year and 2 comprehensive exams and all vaccinations and 2 six month heart worm preventive shots. Unfortunately, other medicines/prescriptions and surgeries are not covered by the Wellness Plan. I pay for 52.00 for my one dog that is 71 ibs and 61/2 year old and another dog that is 4 years old 10 ibs 31.00 per month. This monthly cost is well worth it and saves a lot of money each year. Without having this Wellness plan, I would probably pay at least double this amount each year for each dog.
