I was admitted into dmh pediatric floor a few days ago. During my time here I have experienced great care from a few of the nurses on the floor. However, there is a nurse named Lizly that has had the most awful attitude towards me since I arrived, she refused to give me crackers but was trying to give me Tylenol P.O. A few hours after I had thrown up, when I asked why I could take that by mouth but not crackers she had no answer this also was not ordered by a doctor that I could not eat. The night before I had been freezing in my room and asked for a blanket and I wasn’t given one until the next morning. I understand things can get busy, but she does not call any shots as far as that. Another incident that occurred was when I called for pain meds in the middle of the night I had just had a procedure earlier that day and when calling she had the most disgusting tone with me and when I decided to ask for the charge nurse when she arrived in my room, she questioned me and raised her tone and stated that she supposedly was the charge nurse. She then proceeded to tell me she would not give me anymore of a pain medication that the doctor had ordered for me because I had called her out on her attitude towards me. There was a point in time where she entered my room and turned on every light when I asked her to turn just one off she told me “no it’s fine.” I have never ever been treated like this. Thankfully I am receiving care from another nurse now and hoping to receive somewhat better care the remainder of my visit I tried to converse multiple times with her before all of this, always said thank you and her sluggish responses were just so awful. There’s always that one that just hates their job and I’ll never understand why they choose health care.

Don't go to dmh for anything serious. They have a lot of risk management there. The employee don't follow hospital policy. I have called and no call back

Medical records department is impossible to work with. I have been jumping thru hoops with DMH to get my medical records over here and to be seen. I gave up. I’ll drive to Urbana for medical care now.
