I visited Pet Supples Plus the other week. Their staff seems to genuinely care for their animals. Their ferrets had actual enrichment; toys and hammoks, their hamsters had ample bedding to burrow in. They're one of the very few pet stores in Eastern NC I've seen that seems to honestly care about the wellbeing of the critters in their care. Judging from the exemplary state of their other animals, I'm sure their parakeets are healthy too. :-)

No appointment is needed. You do pay for the vaccinations. But you save on an office call
You have to wear a mask n be apart so many feet just like every other place. They are all super nice and willing to help as much as they can no matter the issues or questions.
