Didn't camp here but the spaces look pretty close together. Did the little hike by the lake. Its an easy hike with lots of informational signs and very lovely.

Beautiful place!!! Campgrounds look so fun. Lake is perfect for kayaking on still water of learning or even just for some quiet time away from the stresses of life.

This is a great campground. 10 spots with a vaulted toilet. Access to the lake via trails. There is a daytime boat launch as well. Great for SUP boards! boats are non-motorized. Fishing is catch and release. Some of the beaches are sandy, …

LOVELY place to paddle with no motor boats. The wind created a current which was challenging but it was a beautiful and relaxing place. The easy loop trail was a delight. Would recommend weekday visit.

They're all fairly close together. You'll definitely hear the neighbors if they're talking. This camp site was way to loud for me.
If you drive up past Kalama Horse Camp and keep going you end up at the Blue Lake Trailhead. There are other trails near there.
Check dnr camgrounds Washington on Google then follow the link to Merrill lake websight I don't think it opens for use until next month and I think u still need to have a day use discovery pass to do a day bbq unless u go on one of the dnr free days
Yes. There's no beach to speak of, but the water is pretty nice and warm in the summer.
Yes it is open and VERY popular...if you go up the FS road on the south side of cougar, there is TONS of dispersed camping...minus the toilets, but if you like late noise makers, children crying constantly, and having ZERO privacy then Merrill lake is your jam!
Yes there are several tent sites, you park and pack into them...toilets, non potable water, lots of screaming kids it seems right now but a nice place for free...no cell service
I think the fees are an on your honor thing. No rangers stopped by when we were there.
First come first serve. No garbage dumpsters there. Either burn it or take it with you.
