This location has been a Hotspot for our family for 30 years and for 4 generations. Now under new management they have very strict rules and regulations about "no fun allowed" no loud music, or fires after 10pm if you have dogs you're only allowed 2 per site and there is a no barking policy (please, I'd love you to translate to my dog that he can't bark and play) and they have to be in a trailer by 9 and you have to be in your trailer at midnight... it's a campground not a hotel... you go camping to have a good time with family and friends... not here... that's not tolerated. This family of 80+ patrons who have spent good money over the years here will never come back to this campground. Go to any of the other campgrounds in the area if you want to have a present trip. This new management is not polite about enforcing there rules either. They are very rude and disrespectful and they don't care if you don't like it. Read there responses they basically say "well you should have stayed somewhere else." We have great memories at this place when our grandparents were still with us (R.I.P.) but now we won't be able to continue those memories here. We will never go back to this place as long as this management and owner are still there. (Response to "owners" reply: nice copy and paste skills owner, if you really cared about making a place that is fun and safe for everyone you would actually change the way you approach your patrons: treat them like family not intruders)(here's a hint: get out of the campground business and go back to whatever big city you came from and leave our national forests to those who actually want to be here to spend time in them)

Great place to stay if you’re planning a trip to Mt St Helens. Cabin 11 was perfect for the 2 of us (3 adults would have been a tight squeeze, but doable). I was surprised by how quiet it was after 9pm, considering the place was packed and it was a holiday weekend. We had dinner after our summit attempt and it was delicious. My only feedback is that our cabin did not have paper towels and coffee filters, and both of those things would have come in really handy. But overall - clean room, good food, great service and friendly people!

We ended up staying at Lone Fir by accident. We had booked ourselves into Beaver Bay Resort and didn't realize their ridiculous policy that your reservation is forfeit at 8pm and their gates close at 9pm. We were stranded with no place to stay. Drove back and noticed Lone Fir. The office was closed but they have a notice that if you need a RV spot or room that you can buzz them until 12am and they will accommodate. Jonathon was so helpful and friendly. He had no problem accommodating us and saved us from having to stay in a parking lot. Lots of amenities. Jonathon was super knowledgeable about the area, helped us out with alternatives to Ape Caves. We would not hesitate to stay here again. It may not have a lake view but not having to have the pressure and stress of arriving before 8pm before loosing your paid reservation or even 9pm before a gate close is worth it.

This is our third stay at Lone Fir Resort on our way to explore Mt St Helens and each time has been wonderful. The check in process was smooth, the staff are friendly and professional, our cabin was clean and comfortable, and our dinner at the restaurant was fantastic after a long day outside. Highly recommend this place and I look forward to going back next year!

Lone Fir Resort does not allow pets in tents, or pop-up trailers. All pets need to be inside the RV by 10pm for our quiet time and we also have had too many issues of pets being left alone in tents unattended.
