Very beautiful area and has to be the best boat launch I've ever come across. I have no idea why all boat launches aren't built the same exact way!! The trails were amazing and the amount of wild grapes I ate while walking make it one of those times that I felt like heaven is on Earth if we take the time to look. I appreciate them allowing edible nature, where as everywhere else has seemed to abolish that aspect of Life on Earth. And I can't say enough good things about the disc golf course!!! Absolutely stunning and very well planned. This is definitely one of my favorite places I have been in life.

Love waking my dogs here. Please fix and maintain the boardwalks, so we can actually start using them again.....

Questions & Answers

Is this brackish waters and is there a strong or fast current in the river going up the river? I have a 10’ Bass Hunter boat and only have an electric trolling motor is it worth trying to fish?

Yes these are brackish waters and it's known for being full of alligators. Not worth the hassle for fishing.

How deep is the boat launch?

Easily launch anything ranging from kayak/canoe to a larger fishing boat. We have successfully launched our 17' Sport on several occasions regardless of tide. However, I highly suggest trolling for your first few adventures out as the bottom elevation is quite unpredictable! Add in the abundance of fallen trees & undetectable limbs & even the most advance boater can be quickly caught off guard and hung up.
