I was having an issue with my dress and they immediately got the situation fixed and helped me to find a dress for my rehearsal dinner. My five star review is for a specific store employee, not the store. The alterations seamstress, Mayra, was hands down the most professional, courteous and comforting store associate I have worked with in any establishment in quite some time. Some of the employees at this store are not super friendly. Mayra was a breath of fresh air. I picked up my wedding dress after trying it on at my alterations appointment. The employee I initially worked with was very hands off and not terribly concerned with my nerves over the cups sewn into the dress sticking out of the top, the belt hanging off or the neckline sticking out. She told me she would stitch the cups and that it’d be fine. I tried it on again at home and it was a mess. The cups still stuck out, the dress was still loose on the sides and the neckline didn’t lay flat. This was all pretty disappointing considering the amount of money being charged for alterations. I took it back and was able to work with Mayra. She immediately started pinning and tacking the sides and cups and assured me she would have it fixed exactly as I envisioned it to look. When I picked it up she had fixed it beautifully. It was as I had wanted from the start. She was so incredibly helpful and kind. I complimented her to both managers that were in the store the days I met with her. She truly is amazing at what she does and she is so people oriented to go along with her tremendous skill. She deserves all the raises and compliments she can get. If you decide to get alterations done at David’s Bridal in Fayetteville, NC, ask for Mayra. You will not be disappointed!
