I was delivering material to the clubhouse in Wilmington Helms Port. I used the code provided to me at the gate to get in. When I was leaving the iron gate at Helms port closed on my new Chevy High Country truck. I immediately stopped and took pictures of the damage, the vehicle in front of me and a picture of the gate. I told them who the contracted was that I was delivering material to. I emailed and called the management company and gave them all this information. They said they had to talk to the HOA. This went back and forth for almost two Months. They would only get back to me after I contacted them multiple times. They said they have no security cameras that show the gates that enter and exit the development. That’s hard to believe when empty lots in this development sell close to 1 million dollars. Anyway they told me they would not repair my truck. No reason given. There is absolutely no reason why a gate should close on a vehicle while driving out. I was told by the contracted that they’ve had problems with the gate before. They stopped answering my emails and calls. I hope they respond here and have a reason why they won’t repair my truck. Sad how companies operate nowadays.
