Had a wonderful experience! Got expertise and advice about what kind of yarn to use for my project. Way better prices than what I was expecting, too! Masks required made me feel safe and cared about as a member of the community.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! OWNER IS SUPER RUDE!

Not sure if this is a nice store or not, I wasn't allowed to look around. Shopping local isn't always best especially when it's downtown Missoula. I found some nice alpaca yarn at Michael's. Reply to owners comment: Wow this owner is snarky. And in case you haven't left your hole lately, cases are down. And fresh air is good, it seems like you haven't had any in a long time. I'm guessing you've had your shot. So you should be safe to social distance yourself from people. And if you have your mask on you are safe. So telling people to grow up is one of the most childish things imaginable. FYI, you would be a lot better off to hold your tongue on the reviews you don't like, instead of opening your mouth and providing them right.

Amazing prices, selection and quality. Will definitely be coming back to find more yarn for projects in the future.

We can certainly answer questions and help you read your pattern and/or correct mistakes, is that what you meant? If you mean do we do repairs, we don't take drop-off repairs, but I would sit down with you and show you how (as a class) to make the repair yourself.
Here at Joseph's Coat we are still practicing standard social-distancing by limiting the number of customers in the store at a time, we require masks worn properly and encourage the use of hand-sanitizer (supplied at the door) for customers wishing to fondle the yarn (shop with their hands.) We accept cash, checks, and have a no-contact system for accepting credit and debit cards. We collect contact information (not to be shared) as well.
Hi Dorothy, I 'specialize' in locally produced yarns, so not only do I have bulky yarn Made in the USA, it is also 'Made in Montana!' Cloud Cormo from EarthStar Farm in Whitefish MT, is all natural colors!
3 styles in order of $ - Addi Rocket$$$, Knitter's Pride Dreamz$, and Knitter's Pride Nova$. Others can be ordered.
