We camped in the event park here. This was a very beautiful and peaceful park. Your are surrounded by mountain or hills. At night the stars come out in full. Loved the river and would loved to have brought a boat, but we were just passing through. Would like to come back and explore this area.

Hard no. If you drive about a mile back towards spring shores, you can get cell service if you're on T-Mobile or Sprint. The Verizon is pretty well useless on the entire lake aside from the lower dam

We never take a trailer but the tent sites were only 10 a night last summer.
Yes, I talked with the camp host and stayed there on Wednesday, December 6th. The parking lots are barricaded, but you can camp anywhere for up to three days so long as you clean up after yourself.
No , just one handpump for water , fire rings and vault toilets .. giant port a potty.. great for the price !
