Office staff extremely nice. Outdoors well maintained and maintenance responds quickly when needed. Overall, very happy here except during the summer when the cockroaches come out. I believe the management does their best to mitigate the problem since pest control is there weekly to spray, but they did come from under the door jam a few times during summer and that was horrifying to the point where I had to tape the perimeter of our door to prevent them from coming in at night. Homeless people also come in at random times to go through the trash bins leaving trash all over the enclosed garbage area. Not any fault of management, but just be aware. The trash is always promptly picked up by the grounds people when they return the following day but it's a continual problem even though it's gated. Residents are really good about picking up after their pets so that's good. Overall, nice place to live, would give 5 stars if it was not for those disgusting, traumatizing cockroaches.

The move out process was terrible. I recently had planned on potentially moving from a 2 bed room to a 3 bedroom. I paid the deposit but had never signed a lease for the new 3 bedroom as I was still comparing to move/rent other places. When property management companies would call to inquire about a rental history Nina would not give any information to property managements since I had put a holding deposit. This created it difficult for me to be approved by other property management companies since they could not receive any information. There were cost issues w/ repairs being claimed even though I had cleaned and taken care of the apartment the best I could. I fully cleaned my entire place and left nothing behind. Normal wear and tear on carpet from just walking was there but nothing out of the normal. The walls have flat paint so there were few areas that needed to be painted/touched up since I do have kids but nothing out of the normal. I am being blamed for pet urine that was under the carpet and due to heavy soil from entry ways into the bedroom that could not be cleaned. The carpet had to be replaced ultimately first because of the pet urine even though I did not have a pet and then the story changed to well since the carpet could not be cleaned it would have been replaced anyway. In my opinion the carpet was not soiled to the level that needed to be replaced as my bed covered most of bedroom so it could not have been soiled from everyday walking on the carpet. Back to the pet situation, I never had a pet and yet I am being blamed for pet urine deeming the carpet unsalvageable. A carpet company came in an used a UV light.... if there were urine spots then why didn't they pull the carpet for the tenant before me and check to see if they had a pet? I am so frustrated that I am being blamed for pet urine when I never had a pet in my apartment and now being held responsible for the carpet needing replacement after only living in the apartment for 6 months. At first I was happy with living at Tesoro apartments but with dealing with the situation of trying to find another place to live and not being able to have my rental history verified just because I live at tesoro I felt like I was kind of being strong armed to have to stay. Along with my deposit being non refundable, i did get that deposit back but i believe only because i made a deal about not signing a lease for the new place and they legally couldn't hold my deposit. The carpet replacement and me being held accountable for previous tenants pet is just not right. This place seems to only care about the bottom line which is money which i understand but do not make claims or make me pay for something that i had no part of that's where i draw the line.

We’ve been living at Tesoro Apartments for 3 years and had a great experience, so far. However, recently( looks like new management) there’s been perpetual bothering from the management. We were told that our car will be towed because it has not been moved in 10 days and is in dirty condition. My husband had an ankle surgery and cannot drive. I called the office to let them know of the situation, the person didn’t even bother understanding the situation. They said the car needs to be moved every 10 days. I didn’t want to argue so said “no problem”. Then she said, “Oh and also make sure it’s clean!” We don’t mind the text messaging, fire alarm testing, home visits by management to check everything working properly, as this ensures safety of all the residents. But telling us to clean the car or it’ll be towed is unreasonable and ridiculous.
