My daughter’s wedding was here last weekend and I can only echo the glowing reviews from other weddings. Everyone remarked about how much fun and how idyllic everything was. One guest said they felt they were part of a movie about a perfect Vermont wedding. Rick and the rest of the staff were wonderful and the food and accommodations were outstanding. Staying at the Inn for the weekend really allowed us to spend time with everyone and the rehearsal dinner and wine and cheese reception on Friday night were a blast.

Let me start by saying I cannot commend the staff and accommodations of the Quechee Inn enough. Last weekend the Inn hosted my son's wedding, it was a Friday through Sunday affair. Family and friends occupied all 25 lovely rooms of the Inn. Everyone seemed to have whatever they needed from the time they checked in. We had a fabulous rehearsal dinner in the dining room of the Inn and then took the party to the tavern where they allowed my son to hire a band and preform that evening, everyone had a blast! We felt like we had the entire inn to ourselves, the staff stayed behind the scenes but was there in a moment's notice if we needed anything. Britney did a fabulous job with the wedding preparations; the weather was a 10+ and everything went smoothly. The tent was beautifully set up for the wedding and free of any black flies or mosquitos of which I was concerned. People celebrated late into the night and enjoyed the firepit and Adirondack chairs. Exceptional service and hospitality are what you will find at the Quechee Inn. We cannot thank the entire staff enough, with a special shout out to Mona. We will never forget the wonderful memories we made with family and friends : )

I recently stayed at the Quechee Inn for a wedding and it was fantastic! It is a 1793 hotel so if you are looking for a modern style hotel this is not the place for you. If you like history, old world charm, antique style furniture and a clean shower you will adore this place. We stayed all weekend and every meal was delicious and the staff was so friendly and on top of things! The wedding was perfectly orchestrated with not one glitch in the schedule. If you are looking for a mellow weekend in beautiful Vermont, you won't be disappointed!

Rooms: 1 star. Don't be fooled. Any rooms other than deluxe rooms are not "brimming" with any "19th century charm." Dull, drab, drafty, and tasteless decor. There are better hotel rooms out there for a third of the price. 1 star for effective space heaters and fabulous dual shower head. Rest of in (food/location/grounds/service): 5 stars. Building is historic and cozy, common areas are gorgeous and welcoming. Grounds are idyllic, with a view of the pond across the road from almost any room. Quechee (obviously) is a geologically unique natural area (See: gorge & VINS); always worth a visit. Food is obviously the focus of the inn. Though not many options for those with dietary limitations (almost everything had gluten, meat, and dairy), if you are fortunate enough to "cheat" every once in a while, this food is worth cheating for. Chef Ryan is a culinary wizard. Service was pleasant. Every member of staff willing to help any hour of day or night, from the housekeeping staff to the general manager. Overheard a conversation a server was having with other guests about how well the staff is treated and cared for---it shows. It was annoying to have to ask the staff to get ice for us (no self-serve ice maker---why?), but at least they were all incredibly nice when I asked. Just wish the "cheap" rooms didn't feel like a creepy motel behind a truck stop.
