Went in as a first time skier looking for help with renting, fitting and possible purchase of boots, needed help figuring out my sizes and such. The man who “helped” us didn’t really offer any help at all. He was very pushy from the beginning and refused to offer any help until we secured a rental or purchased something. I was ready to spend 2-300.00 but will likely not go back as the man seemed very condescending and dishonest. He told us not to buy any used gear because it’s illegal for shops like his to work on anything older than 5 years old , meanwhile my girlfriends 15 year old skis are currently at another shop being tuned up and are in immaculate shape. He seemed to just be lying to a perceived novice trying to pressure us into spending 1000.00 or not to waste his time. I won’t be spending any money in the near future. Also one of the clearance gloves was on sale for 77.99 marked down from 80.00 which made me laugh.. it’s good place to shop if you have thousands to blow, don’t mind pushy and dishonest sales, but not if you are just looking for honest advice or reasonable prices.

I was very excited to go to rotary this morning since it was going to be my boyfriend’s first time trying on skis and boots to see what kind he likes and what fits him. When we first get there we start browsing to see the offerings with no real acknowledgment. We are at the skis for about 10-15 minutes and not a single person came to talk to us. As we start to walk away a guy finally approaches us and aggressively ask if we need help. My boyfriend explains that he’s looking to get fitted for boots so he can know his size cause he’s contemplating buying used or renting. The guy refused to let him try anything on without purchasing or securing a rental. When I asked if he could at least size him, the guy tossed the size board on the ground and told him to step on that. He also told us it was illegal to work on skis older than 5 years old so he shouldn’t buy used skis anyways, which I still haven’t been able to find any law out there that says that. Ended up leaving upset, and honestly shouldn’t have even bought the gloves I ended up buying out of necessity. Won’t be returning after that.

I really wanted to support a small local business so it’s really sad that I have to leave this review. My partner dropped off a pair of skis for a binding adjustment recently. Several days went by and he was never called to be informed that they were ready- when he finally called he was told they had been done for some time. When we went to pick them up, we felt invisible. Staff ignored us while we were waiting to be seen at the “please wait here” sign and instead actually serviced the people waiting right behind us. I finally had to walk over to someone who was working with another customer to mention that we had been waiting for 20+ minutes to pick up skis. When we finally got the skis they forgot to give back the boot, had to wait again. Staff were dismissive, uninterested and rude during all of our interactions. REI will adjust bindings, wax, sharpen and do a release test for less than what this place charges for binding adjustment alone, and they actually treat you like a living human being. I would not recommend Rotary.

We got our son his season rental in October for 90+tax, (i think that was 10 off normal kids pricing) if you are interested i would advise going in soon, they cut off season rentals when the reach certain levels of rental inventory.
