Just had a drink during the day. Very unique place, four stages and seven bars. Only one bar was open. Needed to be cleaned up and was very cluttered in spots.Looked as though it had seen it's better days. Fun place to visit though.

My friends entered for $30 when it was supposed to be free…they didn’t refund them and they said they charging everyone $30 when I entered myself for free. They said we could get drinks for free, but at the end we got declined! We left mad!

Chilkoot Charlie’s is an Anchorage institution and is a must visit place! I’m a local Alaskan and after my first visit there the other night I’m happy to say that it stands up to its reputation. Great history, wonderful staff, affordable, and lots of fun things to do!

Hi Melodie, Our in house menu is all new with the Alleyway Grille. Alan currently only serves dinner. We do have surf and turf nights on Wed and Thu with a 12 oz ribeye for only $12 with possible surf add ons and side. It depends on what time you get there
Women can wear jeans, pants, dresses, it is very casual but some women dress up, especially if they are with friends or plan on going other places. To give you an idea, one room inside is covered from floor to ceiling with undergarments stapled to the wall/ceiling and the bar floor is normally covered in wood chips, peanut shells, and spent pull tabs. Often local bands play here and there is a dance floor that gets used well. Also an outside smoking area so dress warmly if you plan on spending time outside.
