I just got used to the hustle and chaos in a regular airport so much that I just love meridian regional. I live closer to Birmingham Intl. but I chose to fly from Meridian because of cheaper price to California. It’s a pretty small airport with plenty of space for seating, a mini museum, and a viewing gallery. As other reviews noted, there’s free slushies and coffee, which is pretty cool. The terminal smells great, well maintained, and more importantly, way more relaxing to board the flight. And the parking is extremely cheap with only about $2 per night. I think I’d always prefer to fly out of Meridian just for the peace of mind and not needing to get to the airport hours in advance. I think you’d be fine if you could arrive just before 15-30 mins for check in and security.

First time to travel solo with a baby and the staff was incredible. Everyone was kind and patient with me as I navigated check-in, TSA, and boarding.

My favorite airport because it's so small and everything is convenient including the Usave rental car company on site. I just walk out the door and my rental car is waiting for me!

I have flown hundreds of times through dozens of airports, including high security airports in the Middle East. In all of those experiences, never have I seen such a ridiculous display of incompetence mixed with a power trip as the Meridian …We hate you had a poor experience flying out of Meridian Regional Airport due to TSA, however TSA is not part of MEI but is their own agency separate from us. You can file a complaint with them here: https://www.tsa.gov/contact-center/form/complaints. We value your opinion and hope you reconsider flying out of Meridian in the future.

We recommend that you arrive 2 hours before your flight's scheduled departure. For our more experienced travelers, a good rule of thumb is to arrive at least 1 hour before your flight departure. You must be checked in for your flight at least 45 minutes prior to scheduled departure.
Between 80 to 100miles
You would have to fly into Dallas/Ft. Worth (DFW) or Chicago O’hare (ORD) from Charlotte then connect to get to Meridian.
Through the airline
Hey Harrison, the time/weather part of the sign hasn't worked since November 2019 due to some LED issues.
I believe they only go to Dallas and Chicago for connecting flights.
No, there is not a restaurant in the terminal.
Meridian Regional Airport is 25 miles from NAS Meridian. It will take about 35 minutes to drive there.
The airport terminal is open from 0445 until 2130. The FBO is open from 0600 until 2200. The tower is open from 0600 until 2200 and other times by NOTAM.
American Airlines
Meridian Municipal airport is public. However there is a private company next door called Meridian Aviation, you will have to call them to get pricing for private flights.
Hi Kalesia, Meridian Regional Airport doesn't hire flight attendants. You would have to apply through our air service provider, Skywest owned and operated by American Airlines. Here's a link that might help: http://www.skywest.com/skywest-airline-jobs/career-guides/flight-attendant-jobs/
Yes but not directly...you will need to change in Dallas or Chicago
We do not have a parking garage. Our daytime parking is free. Overnight is $2 a night.
These is an Avis rental counter there. Because it is a smaller airport I would strongly recommend that you reserve in advance.
