It was okay I went with some one there helping a friend but i really didn't like the fact that they turn people away if you have no shoes to wear or proper shoes to wear !!!!!!! you can only get a bag lunch you can't eat with others i mean what if you can't afford shoes which some people can't this is ridiculous!!!!!!π€

First, let me express my sincerest apologies for the terrible turn of events your family has endured.. Glad to hear you are alive. To answer your question, yes the Salvation Army Emergency Shelter does accept families, but you have to go through an agency called Coordinated Entry located in the Systel building on Green Street downtown. Hope this helps and prayers for you and your family's improved living situation.
They should be....are you a vet??
Yes it is
I don't know, because I never lived there before.
I observed that because of Covid19, their service to the public is limited.
Emergency shelter is only open during White Flag which means it's 32 degrees or below. To enter the shelter there is a process you have to go through with coordinated entry at Cumberland Health Net. You can go online and fill out the form but it does not guarantee you shelter. The shelter is limited capacity and is almost always full.
Is it open
