How these charlatans remain in business is baffling...but nothing surprises me in 2022. Paying online is convenient..as waiting in line you have to deal with customers that are uptight ( I cannot blame them) The itemized "lines" and "fees" on your bill make no sense. Since Danville already makes you pay for paying for things..you name it, vaccinations, owning a car, property...having things paid off even costs money. 35 dollar license fee? Multiply that fee alone times the amount of Danville residents. It is making somebody rich. The problem is, these beurocrats fear no accountability, because nobody ever holds them accountable. How about at least replacing the hundreds of dollars of food customers have to throw away, due to your TRASH power grid.

Very expensive electric bills on a regular basis. Nobody is home majority of the time. Why are the bills so high when nothing is being used majority of the time?

Honestly it really just depends. My experience these last couple years have not been great. Honestly if I were you you should rethink your decision. The schools are awful and the way the people carry on up here. One thing to consider the utility prices up here are highway robbery and they just added a new thing where they are increasing deposits if your utility bills are higher than what their system is used to you averaging. Renting up here is ludicrous since danville caters more to the landlords than the tenants. The school system here was responsible for my son being hurt and it's just been awful here. Also they may lose their school accreditation, because of how bad it is here at some point. They are fighting to keep it because of how low the scores be. Everyone's experience isn't good here, but anywhere can be messy. I didn't think it was like that here.

You have to take the death certificate down to the utility company. When you enter, you go to the right, and they'll take care of you. You might need the lease, but you will have to prove death with the death certificate.
If you alreary have service they can do it for no charge normally if your bill is up to date. If not youll have to pay everything already owed first.
You have to call the city and ask. They dont reply to their google page questions normally.
You would have to call the power company and see if the automated service has an estimate or check their website. The power company is closed sundays and doesnt monitoe their google page evem when open so why ask here.
