Our family has only been living in NC for almost 2 years and had no idea we had a pool just a few minutes away. Thank goodness for Google! Back in June I did a quick search and then stopped in to see it for myself and ask some questions. I wanted to better understand what was on site for use. What we were and were not allowed to bring and their hours. That very weekend our family visited and we had the best time. Staff is super friendly. Place is very clean and they offer snacks for purchase! Best part is admission should be $3 per person but they offer a yearly card for $20 that allows upto 10 trips to the pool total. So for only $8 more, the 4 of us could all return for free and have 1 guest. I actually just called to better understand when they'd be closing for the season. Labor day Monday is the last day. So from here on out, they are only open 12pm-6pm Saturdays and Sundays and that Monday and that's it until next year. Hoping to squeeze in one more visit while we can!

They've made a few changes, including contracting with the YMCA for the lifeguards, and it's a step in the right direction. Lots of swimming space and area around the pool for catching some rays. I like the old 80s/90s music, just need to add some more deck chairs

No. The lifeguards are on a contract from the YMCA, but the pool is still run by the City of Mooresville. Open to the public, admission fee is $3 per person. A punchcard is available to purchase at $20 for 10 swims. You could find someone who does private lessons and use that pool to conduct them.
