Great place to shoot. Would give 5 stars, but we had a wait to get to a lane. With all the available land there, another 5 rifle lanes, and another 5 pistol/shotgun lanes would help. Maybe even add some metal targets. Still a great place, but can become even better.

Yes, they have a new archery rang they just opened, a 100 yrd rifle and shotgun range and a sweet little pistol range but get there early they only have 5 lanes on pistol and rifle ranges not sure how many lanes on the archery range.

No they do not allow steel targets
There is no fee to use the range. It is paid for by NCWildlife. Be sure to check the website for days and hours - they are normally only open part of the week, and sometimes close for special events.
They answer the phone when they are open, the staff keeps people in the loop.
There is no membership fee. It is run by the NC Wildlife organization, and paid for with tax dollars. The range is free to use, but make sure to check the calendar on the website before going there - it's only open Thur-Sun, and sometimes closes for special events.
I've seen lots of people shooting various AR platform rifles there. I personally sight in my 308 there.
Thursdays are good me and my buddy went one thurs and it's was pretty empty by 4pm we had the run of the place

Yes. No fees, free parking, free to use, friendly atmosphere. All they ask is for you to wear protection, use caution, follow the posted rules, and clean up your spent shells.
Yes they are from 9A to 5P, happy shooting #Rangedaysaturday!!!
