I only wish that Dr. Sandu had not left the practice. But the office staff and Dr. Assistance are very professional and know me and my mom for many years now.

Was required to obtain a flu test after an exposure to a patient at work with flu like symptoms. While trying to get an appointment from my normal practitioner, I had to choose this urgent care do to complications. After a 10 minute wait on the phone, I was able to get to get an appointment same day. When I arrived early 3:35pm for 3:45pm per their instructions I called to check on. This was where my issues began. When calling I was sent straight to voicemail 3 times and on the fourth was placed on hold for 35 minutes. After the receptionist came out, I was told they would call back for additional information and collected my cards only to wait 20 minutes till the receptionist came back. I wasn't seen by the nurse till another 15 - 20 minutes, who was proctoring a test I was cross trained and had done multiple times (which despite the newest instructions felt like I was being abducted and brain probbed once again 👽🛸). After this I was left without contact until after their closing time, when they called back at 5:31pm to give the apology stating "The doctor has been backed up with telemedicine calls. He will be with you shortly." After 5-10 minutes the Provider came out where I provided a detailed recap of why I am needing a flu test, only to be asked the routine covid questions. The interaction with the doc was breif but pleasent, but for a test I am familiar with I didn't leave a urgent care center till 6pm. I also had to leave without the receipt which I requested for my work reimbursement, when I provided my prepayment earlier in the day. This being all for a test which is identical to the responders covid drive thru tests which takes 30 minutes from check in and only needed a quick flu test to confirm my symptoms. While I understand that urgent centers are becoming busier taking the overflow for doctor's offices, especially amid the increase in Covid cases. And while I understand due to my circumstances of my symptoms and the close nature to Covid vs flu, with the need to protect fellow healthcare providers, I would not be permitted in the premises. However if the circumstances fell any differently, I would have not chosen to be sitting for almost 2 hours in my car when I could have received the Covid test at a responder site and followed up with my primary later in the day. This recap of my experience does not reflect the center's ability of medicine nor should it infer my opinion of such.
