Online it says they are open! I get to the place and no one is picking up or opening the door. Very unprofessional also the environment does not look clean or safe for animals to live in. The conditions are terrible.

At first couldn’t get them on the phone, instead called animal control and Jeff helped me out. From there it was very smooth and they took in a very sweet stray I found. Definitely recommend.

I called inquiring about my dog whom my dad claimed he gave to humane society. 1. The man asked what town my dad lived in. Then says you don't know what town your dad lives in. I say I don't care. He said you don't care about your dad? No we don't have your dog. The only thing that was his business was did he have my shih tzu or not. So unprofessional!!!!!!!!!! I pray they really don't have him.

Do we have to make an appointment to come to the shelter? Cause the other shelters say to go on pet finder but the app keeps crashing.

I used pet finder and I had mo issues and everyone was very friendly and very helpful I also went to the Teterboro shelter without an appointment and they were very helpful and friendly as well

Not at all !! They found my dog when I lost him and when I picked him up he was in great condition . When my nephew's lost his dog we went crazy looking for him and we found him in the shelter in newark nj and my nephew's dog was Soo sick he was peeing blood so my favorite place I HIGHLY recommend is this human SOCIETY IN WEST NEW YORK NJ THE BEST PLACE!!!!!!!!!
