We cannot say enough about how wonderful this small facility and it's 2-person staff are. As animal lovers we have had the opportunity to visit the facility and observe how professional and caring the staff is. Nobody cares more for their animals or works harder than they do! They aren't a shelter but they do their very best to operate like one with very limited funding thanks to support from Dunn residents , businesses and fans in surrounding communities.

Not rude at all from my experience...Courtney is dedicated and loves these animals! This is a challenging job! All animal related jobs are beyond what you can understand if you have never done it! And we are doing good in the world...necessary good...you shouldn't be so quick to judge! Shame on you! Come scoop poop for a month...experience what we deal with...then MAYBE your opinion will matter and have merit..you shouldn't judge from what you have no experience with...✌❤

They are a very small animal shelter with only two employees and limited resources. What they lack in resources they make up for with love for the animals. They treat every animal as if it is their own. I adopted one of my dogs from Dunn Animal Shelter, and over the past 18 years I've helped find homes for several more through local rescue groups. Yes, they work with rescue groups, so give them a call and get on their list of approved rescues. I believe some of the other reviewers may be be confusing Dunn Animal Shelter with another local shelter that has no affiliation.

If they had a 0 up there I would mark that unprofessional vindictive heartless and the list goes on and on just remember what comes around goes around!!!

Most city pounds are once surrendered lost forever. My advice would be to contact an aspc shelter or local rescue who has foster homes to hold your dog. They may or may not be able to help but anything is better then a government pound
