Bare bones. Teeny TV, teeny shower, small bathroom...I busted my hand on the shower control and got water everywhere. There is a small step up from the bedroom into the bathroom in the room I was in, I tripped twice and had to catch myself with the sink the first night. You do hear everything, so if you aren't a heavy sleeper and people are in the hallway, you might not get good sleep. I chose the Inn because the price was reasonable for the area. I stayed by myself. I would not have wanted to stay with another person, I feel like you wouldn't be able to move.

We stayed in a queen room on the second floor and although the bed was very noisy, we had a great stay. The room is very small but we expected the size with an historical inn built in 1799. We were also made aware by a note in the bathroom that the water takes a while to heat so that wasn't a surprise at all. I loved the fact that the inn is historic and even has a resident ghost, Silas! I was disappointed to learn the restaurant wasn't open during our stay, we missed it being open by a day, but I've read great reviews and hope to try it again on another trip to the area. My husband and I sat in the rocking chairs on the front porch and watched the world go by. Needless to say it was very relaxing. Parking was directly behind the inn and the ease getting to the room was appreciated. My only recommendation is to provide a cooling fan for the rooms. We were there the second week of May and it was unseasonably warm during the day so the room was a bit hot. We left the windows open and when night came, our room was very cool. Overall, a great stay.

The rooms are comfortable and clean. I had absolutely no complaints about my room. My mother in laws room had an extremely noisy bed and the shower curtain allowed water out onto the floor. You can hear a lot of what is happening in the rooms and halls around you. Parking is easy and you cannot beat the location.

I had dinner at The Tavern and it was excellent. I had the crab stuffed citrus ravioli and it was topped with succulent shrimp and mussels. I also found the perfect wine to pair with my meal, on their great wine list. Dessert was a creamy salted caramel cheesecake that was just mouth watering! The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. And the service by Deb was fantastic! I’ll definitely be back!
