I'm sorry I have to post this review but my heart aches. I was caring for a stray kitten. She went outside and got attacked by a dog. She had what I thought were just claw marks from being pawed at. She was obviously mentally scarred and started hiding more. Over the weekend, she started walking odd but by Monday she wasn't walking at all. I appreciate that Hutto vet was able to schedule me 30 minutes away from the time I called. HOWEVER!!! When I got there I told them I had no money and was struggling financially. I tried to apply for a care credit. The kitten was obviously in pain and deteriorating pretty fast. But since I couldn't get the care credit or afford the vet visit, they wouldn't see her-which I understand if I was getting a full check up and vaccinations but she was clearly struggling. With my heart breaking, I took her back home and held her in my arms for hours until she passed away in the early morning. I'll never know now if she could have been saved or humanely euthanized because of $50. It just seems wrong we were turned away and I want others to know when considering this facility for their pet's care.

We went in knowing in our heart where our Lucky stood she had been sick and Hutto was the only vet that would answer phone When we got the news that we already felt they tried to make our Lucky as comfortable as possible. So all her siblings and parents and grandparents could say goodbye. I wanna thank them so much for there caring and loving ways with our Lucky. Getting her in and getting us answers.

We will work someone in, but we work primarily off of appointments. We will see appointments as scheduled and then work-ins/walk-ins. For the best experience, we recommend an appointment or if it is more convenient then you can drop your pet off and pick up later.
Contact Lakeside Animal Rescue. They might have just what you are looking for!
We are sorry that you feel this way. Our goal is to provide our patients with the best of care. When you brought him to us, we were told you give vaccines at home (not asking for shots) and that he was sick. He had symptoms of certain common diseases, so we asked and received permission to perform basic initial tests. This gave us good information but did not explain why he was so sick.To figure it out, we asked (and received) permission for additional testing. At this point, we were able to tell you exactly why your dog was sick and the treatment he needed. Because he was critical, we recommended he go to the emergency clinic for life-saving treatment. When we were told you did not have the money to treat him, we discussed several options including possible payment scenarios, places to look for financial help and even relinquishment of him to us so we could treat him. We are sorry that you feel our goal is just to get money.
They also offer access to an online pharmacy for anything requiring a prescription. They can be shipped to directly to your house.
We are getting ready to do some repairs to the building and then we will be adding in full service including spays, neuters and dental work. I would say within a few months we will be ready and have prices for you.
