When my differential blew out on my M3, I wasn’t sure what was wrong with the car. David and his team did a fine job properly diagnosing the problem and promptly fixed the issues with my M3. He advised parts, price was competitive, especially compared to dealers, and his team really seemed to enjoy helping people and working on cars. David was there every step of the way, even updated me through the process of replacing my diff, bushings, and reinforcing my rear subframe. Fast forward a year later, a belt blew. Engine overheating, I pulled into the nearest service center and Firestone turned down the belt job. Called Import Special, they were happy to do the job. Had a truck pickup my car and David was out front, watching it be unloaded as we pulled in. They immediately got to work the next morning on my car (they close up around 5:00, car was being unloaded around 5:15) They replaced all of the belts, even found a small coolant leak that was causing my light to come on in the process. Leak wasn’t urgent, so of course they called me to confirm I’d like the part replaced before they got to work. Needless to say, I didn’t know who to turn to when I first had problems with my M3, I was hesitant to turn my keys over to anybody other than myself, and trusting IS paid off. Thank you for taking better care of my car than just about anybody else. David, you’re the man, and your staff is incredible. The array of different foreign and exotic cars speak for themselves, you’re not gonna see a vintage Ferrari parked outside a shady shop.

Unfortunately, I have spent a small fortune on my 2013 BMW 335 i X Drive that had an irritable vibration in the steering wheel when I applied the brakes. I had taken it to four different shops here in Columbia in order to find and correct this problem. Three of these shops specialize in BMW and import vehicle services. I had front brakes and rotors replaced initially. I still felt a vibration and returned the vehicle to be told that the rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. I still felt a vibration and took it to another shop in NorthEast Columbia and was told that the two from control arms needed to be replaced. Still feeling a vibration, I had to replace the tires, so I took it to a local tire shop. Three brand new tires later, force balanced and all wheels aligned, I took it to another professional only to be told that the left rear control arm needed to be replaced. The vibration still persisted. Now Import Specialties of Columbia comes into the picture. I completed the online service request Sunday night and took my car in Monday morning, February 21, 2022. By 2:00 p.m., if not before, I was contacted and told that I needed rotors on the front because the first ones were defective. I picked the vehicle up today and it drives like new! I can’t say enough for Import Specialties of Columbia! They have earned my trust and business! Definitely not the fault of this business, but I had to take my car back today. I arrived a little before opened and left my car as soon as someone arrived, Before two hours had elapsed, I received a call with the diagnosis that was tire related. It's so hard to find a reputable place whose owner and employees are honest and dependable!
