Either everyone decided not to show up to work today or google and Facebook are not updated. I showed up at 1:30 along with at least 10-15 others standing outside waiting for the Y to open. Many tried to call but nothing. Disappointed on the lack of communication on social platforms and/or responsibility of those supposed to work their shifts.

After trying to use their pool facility the staff was not helpful with purchasing a locker due to the fact that I was not a member of their ymca...being from another state the fact that the staff wanted me to walk the hallways in my bakini in order to use a quarter locker instead of Writing my name on a piece of paper to lend me a locker for a few hours to swim while on summer break vacation! Needless to say I will not be returning to Grand island ymca....that needs to be updated and better solutions given as staff of a corporation!

Love this Y. Always clean and the daycare is amazing. Both my boys loved being a part of their programs.

Yes you can! We have Child Watch, a supervised play area for infants through kids age 8 can hang out while their parent works out. Time limit is 2 hours, and parent must stay in the building.
A day pass is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Day passes are not available after 4:00 pm.
Yes, we do have a hot tub. We also have a steam sauna and a dry sauna. Please call and visit with our staff about a membership. We are closed today, New Year's Day, but we will be open Wednesday from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm. We always let prospective new members know that we offer financial assistance so the Y is affordable to everyone.
Hello, I am the Membership Director at the Grand Island YMCA, and I can confirm Jennifer's answer but I'll provide a few more details. The YMCA does allow people to shower, but we ask that they go through either the Salvation Army or Hope Harbor. Also, we will ask you to sign in and provide some sort of ID.
We have a trail that starts approximately 1 mile south of Y. It is the John Brownell / Beltline Trail.
