Walked in the store and we were told can't shop there unless we wear a mask. We walked out and won't be back until that ridiculous requirement is gone. A mask requirement in July of 2022 is in no way shape or form legal or binding. The state of Michigan nor the Federal government in the form of the CDC has any such mandates in any of their public guidelines anymore so what makes By the Pound so special that they feel they can dictate that only masked individuals can shop in their store? We used to like shopping here for certain items but it's not worth it if they're going to still carry on like it's 2019 in 2022.

The cleanliness of the store has really slipped. Housecleaning has really slipped. So this trip I confined my purchased to prepackaged products I cannot find locally.

Oh my gosh, I think this is my new favorite place to shop! They have a variety of teas, dried fruits, nuts, grains, candy, spices, etc! You can bring your own containers or use the bags they have their. Plus everything is so affordable. I can't wait to make another trip there.

By the Pound sells coffee, tea, spices, candies, and food items. It does not sell building materials.
They provide gloves for everyone to use the utensils, and of course masks and distancing required
Yes you can. They have a little scale off to the side so you can tare the containers. While many things can be purchased pre-bagged much of it can also be done in the precise amount you want. It has been one of our go-to places with all the cooking at home we've been doing.

A British Tea expert works for Glenn there, he could make you some interesting blends from the wall of loose tea. He is lovely to talk tea with. If they don't have something like bohea they will usually try to get it for you
