Good playground, public bathroom, tennis courts. The field area has mowed grass and enough space for three full sized games (soccer or ultimate) but it isn't great grass and the fields have some divots. Overflow parking has big pot holes to drive over. Overall a fine park.

No shade on or near playground, so it’s basically unusable for at least 1/4 of the year. Also nowhere for parents to sit while kids play. It’s the only playground I’ve ever been to without a single bench anywhere close to the playground. The soccer field and tennis courts are nice though.

Paved trail runs along the creek with excellent access to numerous pools. Need to visit during warmer months for what type of fish present. Lots of birds! Excellent place for bird watching. Lush vines covering trees seems to provide lots of birds shelter.

Mom and I on another short walk. Started at Shaffner Park then crossed over to Silas Creek trail. Shaded trail just over a mile if you cut across there’s a bridge where you find bamboo trees that you can actually walk through. Always a fun short trail. ** Pictures of the bamboo was at a different time we took our dog Ruth.

No, it was disassembled and moved. I can't recall where offhand but I did research it a couple years ago. I think it is still local, but not has a playground piece. I remember climbing it as a kid. But there is a cool dinosaur jungle gym by the parking lot that I've taken my kids to play on. Some years ago they also renovated the creek and stocked it with beautiful, catchable fish

The par course trail is a little over a mile and the greenway is about a mile.
There is a greenway directly across from the entrance to the park, also on the opposite side of Silas Creek Parkway is what is called the Par Course which has the dirt running trails. There is a huge parking lot there.
