Great place to get gear and parts. I come here frequently for used parts and they have a really good selection. The employees are very helpful as well; they are very knowledgeable and willing to help. I had someone give me detailed advice on which light to buy and pick out a used kickstand based on my bike, all in one visit. I do not have much experience with the mechanics, but there was one instance where a different shop claimed my shifters were broken and I briefly talked to a mechanic at The Hub about the problem, hoping to find a replacement shifter. Within 1 minute he saw that a nut for the shifter was incorrectly seated in the handlebars and got out a screwdriver to fix it right there. I have never dropped my bike off here to be worked on for a larger problem/tune up/etc, but I definitely will consider it for the future. This is my go to spot for all things bike related!

This is the first time in ever reviewing any place other than a 5 star. I just got charged $34 for tire replacement. That's some price for a 2 minute job. This was the tipping point, thought they were a little pricey until now but this just crossed all limits. I've spent over $1500 at this place since last year, should've just shopped online and used Google instead. Time to find a new bike shop and recommend the U to replace them with a new bike store.

Staff are otherwise phenomenal, but the majority owner is on a power trip and difficult to deal with.

I have purchased many biking essentials from The Hub including my casual, ride around town bike and my Saris Bones bike rack. Every employee there takes the extra time to help answer questions (no question is a dumb question to them). I really appreciate their openness and non-judgemental approach to new-to-biking folks and really anyone. I recently attended their free Fix-a-Flat class and learned so much from both of the instructors. I truly cannot say enough good stuff about The Hub!!!

Good Afternoon Mark! Yes we do! We have both used parts and used bikes to choose from. Check out our upcoming event, The Used Bike Extravaganza! for sweet deals on used bikes! If you have any more questions feel free to call us at 612-729-0437.
Hi BJ, You can browse all of our new bike inventory, and even purchase directly, at our online store. Prices tend to vary based on the style of bike you're looking for. We also have a diverse inventory of Used Bikes, fully tuned and ready to ride. Those prices will start lower than our new bikes. Used inventory is not available online, as it can change rapidly, so best to stop into the store to see what we have on any given day. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Good! Staff wears masks and there are limits to how many people can be inside at the same time. If you get there during a busy time of the day, you may need to wait outside due to capacity limits.
Paula, thanks for reaching out. The Hub does not carry adult trikes, but a quick Google search mentions Erik's, Freewheel, & Perennial may carry some. Perhaps calling around to each of those shops & posing these queries may lead you to a 3-wheeled expert.
Hi Michael, We have Presta-to-Schrader valve adapters for about $1 each
They do!
Hi Romeo, I am a mechanic, marketing coordinator, and owner at The Hub. Some information about bikes we can and cannot take into consideration can be found on our website: https://www.thehubbikecoop.org/articles/used-bikes-and-gear-pg304.htm
Hi Danyelle, The Hub Bike Co-op's Used Department at our 3016 Minnehaha Ave location may purchase all sorts of complete bikes, or used parts. We buy bike shop quality used bicycles and components at our 3016 Minnehaha Ave location. We do not accept department store level bicycles (Huffy, Magna, Next, etc), nor bicycles that have been spray painted or that have had their serial number defaced in any way. Please note that our staff will use their professional discretion and may deny a trade-in appraisal for any reason. Please refer to our website: https://www.thehubbikecoop.org/articles/used-bikes-and-gear-pg304.htm As Jamin mentions, consignment is sometimes an option, but is currently unavailable, as our consignment slots are all filled right now. Thanks, Lisa @ The Hub Bike Co-op
These great bikes are indeed at the great store on Minnehaha that Christopher Cross mentioned above.
We do sell used wheels in good condition at our 3016 Minnehaha Ave location. You're welcome to stop into any of our locations to inquire about current scrap that you could have at not cost. The Minnehaha shop would have the most scrap at any given time, but all three Hub locations have scrap piles for discarded or worn wheels.
I would look at custom builds or online shops
You may want to check with Grease Pit and Cycles for change.
The Hub has not sold Breezer in several years. We sometimes have a Breezer in our Used department, but none today. Refer to Breezer's website for current shop that stock their bikes: https://www.breezerbikes.com/wheretobuy
They are likely to have something in stock that you're looking for but you can also order through them and they can have it probably for you within a week. They have 3 stores I think any one of them can check the inventory of the other I'm not sure
They do purchase bikes. Checks take 30 days to issue. They can issue store credit usually the same day.
We may have something more budget-friendly available in our Used Department at the 3016 Minnehaha Ave location.
