After calling around with my initial car rental place and having no luck getting a car today, i switched to hertz. I called the durham location and i was informed that there were no drivers to pick me up and also that my reservation was for the raleigh location. When i called Raleigh location i spoke to "Chris"...i wanted to do the review simply because of the great customer service Chris extended my way. He totally changed my mood and i am thankful even though he put me on hold for a while to try and contact the durham location on my behalf..i am truly thankful to him. Next time i will rent with your location just because of you. And thanks to "Brett" i could be wrong about his name-the durham location manager for reaching out to me and helping me as well

If I could give it zero starts I would I booked a rental here 2 weeks in advance. I show up the guy tells me they're closed, but was helping a woman return her car. Then he switches the story and tells me no cars are ready, whole time the lot is full of cars. I called corperate and the lady is upset with me as if i did something wrong. Terrible experience, if you're flying in just shell out the extra money and use airport rental, these guys are a joke.

Terrible experience trying to return a vehicle that was covered under warranty by Leith GMC. They had no idea how to set it up so it didn’t charge me.

Never experienced that. The line was usually busy and the VM was full so you sre unable to leave a message. Very limited staff so I don't think they have the time for call backs. One person staff.
Hertz requires a deposit of 25% of the expected total rental or $200, whichever is greater. They will put a hold on the card you use for rental, but may waive it for customers with a positive record. Deposits outside the US may differ.
I used my debit card only paid 50 because of my insurance . But they only hold your 24 hours then it will be released back into your account
