I did one of their programs and ended up only going 3 out of the 6 weeks because it seemed very unproductive. I have a very well trained dog and was hoping to touch up on some things. There was SO much down time during the training where you just sit there with your dog while you wait for your turn to do the actual exercise. There was no interaction with the other dogs- like we were blocked off from even seeing them. I was really hoping to work on helping my dog with distractions, especially walking past other dogs and such, but this class did not help with that one bit. I stopped going because the trainer was not good. (I did the CCC program here.)

Questions & Answers

I have a 3 year old mixed breed dog. I have PTSD mostly in remission but sometimes I still get very anxious. Can my dog be trained to respond to my anxiety?

I imagine so, but it may need preliminary training. Also all training there, I believe, is done with the dog and owner.

Diego, If Paws N Effect could help you train your dog, the only problem is that they don't have someone who speaks Spanish.

Paws trains therapy dogs but not service dogs. Therapy dogs visit people. Service dogs are trained to do a specific task.
