I believe that they just want to do more than what you need to do to keep your warranty

Is it normal to pay almost 2000$ for maintenance also There's no reason why Hyundai dealership don't lend Loaners ,Covid has been lifted there's no reason I can't have a replacement vehical after mechanics decides or can't fix the problem in time

Yea Hyundai of Paramus is awful. And they're kind of proud of how awful they are. I've done a few repairs there. It's never been less then several thousand dollars. Recently I had an issue with my catalytic converter. They wanted $4,500 to repair . Of course that's more than the blue of the car. They took 300 off. It's still way out of line. In the end they charged me 2 hours (390) to diagnose the problem that another mechanic already diagnosed for free because it allegedly took them two hours to diagnose. I will do almost anything to avoid going back there, and I'll be damned to buy another Hyundai.

Yesterday, I took my 2010 Hyundai Genesis with a recall notice on passenger side airbag. Went in there and came back with engine light on. called and complained about it. Service Manager said to bring it in. Should I go back and leave my car?

Yes definitely. I know it's serious but it may have been a minor mistake or minor problem popping up. They really never give up until the problem is fixed.

At times depending on the vehicle, supply, margins.... But rare. I'm not a fan of Paramus and feel like try various tactics to increase fees and deals somewhere.... Good luck.
