I am forever grateful for love and peace that the sisters and staff gave my mother and our family in her final days. My mom insurance was a nightmare when it came to obtaining hospice care for her and wouldn’t cover anything. Only being 28 myself I didn’t have the means to give her what she needed at home. She had cancer in multiple places and was in incredible pain, which led us the er one night and the case worker there, helped set us up with rosary hill. I was so nervous putting her in an a inpatient hospice simply because you never truly know the level of care until your loved one is there. I whole heartily believe that she was meant to be there in her final days. Wether you’re religious or not you cannot deny the incredible sense of peace and love that floods the halls at this place. With in 30 minutes of her arrival they had her cleaned up, hair brushed, teeth cleaned, in comfy flannel pjs and tucked into her cozy, clean bed. (My mother was basically non responsive at this point) seeing the nurturing care they took with her warmed my breaking heart and I felt a sense of relief. My mother was only there for a week but in that week she was shown such dignity and love. Keeping her as pain free and comfortable as possible was always top priority. They followed Covid rules for safety but also understanding the nature of their residents they always worked with you as visitors go. Giving rapid COVID test if you could obtain one yourself and allowed as many family members as we wanted to switch off as much as we wanted-once everyone present a negative test. They would always call me with any change in her condition and would give me the option to come see her even off visiting hours. On the morning she passed my family and myself didn’t make it there on time to be with her but all the sisters that cared for her were in her room with her holding her hand and remained with her till our arrival. My whole family was welcomed to come say our goodbyes and a sweet women the runs the rec department brought in a cart of coffee, water and snacks for my family as we wrapped things up. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the level of care the sisters and staff take to ensure that this experience is just slightly less heartbreaking. I will donate here for the rest of my days. They truly are doing the lords work.

My father spent his last 3 months of life at Rosary Hill. He suffered with prostate cancer metastasized to the bone and was in severe pain. God really does have a plan. Many of us don't have the luxury of having extra funds or time to take off work to care for and even spend enough time with our loved ones during their last days when they need us the most. I was worried about him being in hospice, though he desperately needed it. He was transferred to Rosary Hill because his insurance only covered his first hospice for a certain number of days. What a blessing. I never worried for my father while he was at Rosary Hill. The hospital is immaculate, clean, spiritual. My father was always clean, moisturized and they made sure to get him sun and around people although he was bedridden. The sisters and the staff are unearthly. They helped my father and me prepare for the end. And I'm infinitely thankful to them and I would love to volunteer and give back. What service and dedication, to devote your life to caring for those at the end of their journey. It was such a painful and scary time for my family. To watch your loved one deteriorate and slip away. And Rosary Hill absolutely made it easier on us. I hope to be surrounded by people like you when my time comes. Their therapy dog Rudy was so helpful too! Thank you ❤️
