Always a family favorite for our family, when everyone wants something different, and you don't want to be in the kitchen for a couple of hours preparing a family meal with a meat, vegetables, and salad. This has been a part of the community for many years, and still a reasonably priced place for delicious home cooked style meals. Mr. Kerner did Greensboro a good deed when he opened this restaurant/ cafeteria in its location near Friendly shopping center. Take your family out for lunch, or an early dinner, and you'll see why it's a community favorite forum many years.

The food has no flavor...the veggies tasted like they were popped out of a can and heated through, the spaghetti tastes like it was made from ketchup and the cake was a really strange texture and crumbly. I hadn't eaten here in years and honestly, I'm not sure why people do. The staff was friendly but the food was horrid. Also, the restrooms could use a good cleaning.

I love K&W and I live out of town so I don’t always get the opportunity to eat at one of my favorite childhood spots. However, my experience with them today has been horrible. Unfortunately, I’m in town today because my mom is having surgery. It was kind of agreed upon that this would be her post surgery meal as everyone in our family loves K&W. I went to pick our meals up and I was met with the worst attitude from the lady that was working the to go counter. Everything was cause for an attitude. There was a wait on the beef livers and she was like “you’re going to have to wait.” I said that’s okay. And waited while they prepared the food. Then she wasn’t able to accommodate everything that was included in the second meal and I asked if it would be okay for me to check in with my sister and she said “seriously?” I was like yes, I’ve already been waiting here 20 minutes I want to make sure I get her order correct and see what she’d like as a replacement. Then when I asked for barbecue sauce for chicken strips she rolled her eyes and handed me a single container of barbecue sauce that was COVERED in barbecue sauce. I asked if I could get another and she completely ignored me. I walked away with no barbecue sauce, no utensils for three meals, and a sour taste in my mouth from her attitude before even having the opportunity to eat my meal. It’s safe to say I’m never coming back to this k&w again especially when there are so many other options in the area that I know would provide better customer service.

Great place for a home cooked meal. The food could use a little more seasoning to give it that extra burst of flavor. During lunch I was surprised at how quickly the lines moved. I must admit they give you a generous amount. The place was clean and service ok. It could be better. Overall I paid about 25 bucks for 2 meals that I couldn't finish eating. No room for dessert. Dine in or take out, you won't be disappointed. Not bad at all for the price.
