Great short hike on, feels like straight up, a paved trail. Clear day so was able to see some view!

Fall is the best time to see Mount Mitchell or to drove the Blue Ridge Parkway! Would recommend going during the week its ridiculously busy during the weekends but this overlook isn't as well known as Craggy Gardens or Mount Mitchell.

Very scenic, go during the fall time to enjoy it’s beauty the most! And evenings here have a special beauty of it’s own, no matter what season you go. Just make sure it’s a sunny day and then head towards this side to enjoy nature at it’s best!

On December 29th I tryed to get to it thru Blue Ridge Pkwy and South Toe River Rd but both roads were closed. Looking forward to come back in the summer...
