It was a nice quiet stay. Check in and check out was hassle free. My kids loved having ample space to run around. We loved that everything was at our disposal . Being near the state parks was a plus. We hope to book the larger cabin with the rest of our family next summer. It was a much needed break that myself and my children needed.

Exactly as promised this place is relaxing! If you need to check in with WiFi you are able to do so in the office. I was offered an easy chair and got to share the space with two wonderful, friendly dogs. We suggested adding some mirrors in the bedrooms and replacing the grill which had seen better days. It worked, though! We spent each evening around the fire pit and it was awesome! Despite really high temperatures the setting in the trees and a lovely breeze kept us very comfortable. It was fun to see young families enjoying their stays, too, but the cabins are spaced far enough apart that we felt we had ample privacy. We would recommend Kishauwau Cabins to others and we might just go back!

A perfect place for a family weekend or romantic get-a-way. We have stayed there for both. Comfy, cozy, and plenty of room for the kids to roam and explore outside. Plenty of movies, games, a fireplace, and a full kitchen to cook in. Close to hiking, dining, wine tasting, and cute little shops. A great place to relax and have fun. The owners are friendly and very accommodating. You will not want for anything during your stay.

Great weekend getaway location. Cabin (Illinois)was perfect size for 4 adults and 1 toddler. Wood stove (as well as furnace) kept all comfy and cozy with 20 something temps outside. Definitely plan for low cell phone reception. Great communication with owners. Wonderful hiking area.

Some people will fish on property but they have to be able to manage what I call "The Killer Hill" at the back of our property. That's just my name for it. It's doable as long as you do not have major knee or back trouble and don't go crazy with your tackle. People use this hill all the time but I get mixed responses about it. You would need to ask us about the hill after you arrive because it is not marked and it's only for onsite guests. It is not open to the public.
You just go into the main office and grab your paperwork and keys!
