Worst rehab I've ever been to and I've been to about 8. The staff are horrible. Backwoods Podunk country you can really tell that they been in the middle of nowhere for so long. They let the girls leave bloody pads on walls and because I would not take another girls bloody pad off the wall they dropped me off knowing I had no family or money. They drove me to the mission (homeless shelter) and just left me there. They are HORRIBLE PEOPLE!! I was ONLY 18 YEARS OLD. never EVER go there. They do not care about you they only care about making a dollar

DO NOT send someone you care about here. They claim they cannot have visitors due to Covid(which has been over for months, and none of the staff wears masks) They barely let the patients call home, first time I've heard of a Treatment Facility that revokes Phone privileges. Classic case of a small town owner making money off the less fortunate. Luckily,I'm a paralegal, and will be looking into the treatment of these patients, because it was deplorable from what I've seen. These owners should be embaressed, and in time they will be.

I highly recommend as I contacted them to get some help for an individual and it didn't take long to get them in for help, and I am very appreciative!

It’s been 3 years for me since I went and let me tell you it was what changed my life! My counselor helped me understand my brains way of thinking! I learned how to deal with the emotional trauma! I’m so thankful! This was the ONLY place that worked for me! No rehab is going to work if you aren’t ready! Clean facility! Allows cigarettes (which is huge) most doesn’t! I’m friends with 6 other girls (who had different counselors) that where there that are sober to this day! All of the counselors was friendly and you could relate to them! The food was good! Vending machines are available! If you take anything from this THE COUNSELORS HELPED SAVE MY LIFE!

So when do they get to call home when thy get there my brother goes in tomorrow so trying to see when he will be able to call home
It is usually a week after which they call your black out week
Is this men and women’s rehab? Do men and women have groups together?
Clients have the choice, they are not required. Some will work with you and let you pay when you obtain employment but most want 1st weeks rent and deposit upfront.
Do men and women meet together
Call the main number, if there is a release for u they will tell u who the counselor is and give contact info, if bot ask to leave a message. We can not break confidentiality if there is no release. There r programs up to 90 days
There are several Buffalo Valley facilities but i do know the male and female facility in Hohenwald have family visits on the second and fourth Sundays of the month from 1-4pm.
Generally it is a 28 days program however there is another program that is 90 days but you'd have to call to see if you qualify
2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 1-4pm. But it depends on which facility.
No. You are there for 28 days. And cannot leave, but your family and friends can visit on Sundays
No they dont!
Yes but make sure to address to main address in Hohenwald may take an extra day or so for them to actually get it but counselors get the mail to give their clients some are more efficient in doing so than others but yes to answer the question
One place in Hohenwald. The Dollar General Store. The card looks like a waving American Flag.
Depends but I know we have available beds depending on wether you need detox first
First week of new patients there are NO visits. After that visitations are the 2nd and 4th SUNDAYS of each month.
Weekend
Yes! I did my detox in Nashville for 7 days and on to Buffalo Valley for 28 days!
You have to be on thier contact list
After six as well at the men's. They have a 7pm-8pm meeting and med closet until 830 then they can continue making calls until 1050pm
Personally I could smoke until my lungs fall out of my butt but all day when you're not in group or inside a building
No
Buffalo Valley treats both males and females but at different locations. The facility is NOT co-ed.
Seven days and if you are on their contact list you may speak with thier counselor
I am a Counselor at Buffalo Valley in Hohenwald. My clients get to make one phone call when he comes in and then again in 7 days.
Yes you can send care packages. They will go through it and what ever the clients can't have they will take out and hold on to until the clients discharge date. Don't put anything in there that they obviously can't have like drugs or anything sharp. It will get the client in trouble. If you think that it will be ok then it probably will.
I have never experienced this situation first hand but I'm sure, at least at the Hohenwald facility, we could work a visitation note up.
Yes you can bring money for vending, soda and cigarettes if you smoke. Family can send funds also.
Every couple of Fridays a lady comes to cut them for 7$
Jimmy is exactly right. Hi Jimmy-and imo the food is way better than any jail and those are the options. If you're in addiction long enough (for me anyways) you will end up in treatment or jail and their food is way better at the Valley. If you have a strong desire to work out you can fill trashbags with water and do barbell or dumbbell style workouts along with calisthenics and achieve a high level of fitness. This is imo, of course
Can bring beard trimmers if they have the ul stamp on them. Bring cash in low Bill's for snacks carton of cigs and stamps
Men's facility and women's facility in Hohenwald is separate.
The answer is yes. Just inform the staff at the reception desk and be sure the packages are still factory sealed.
Call and ask if she has a release signed for u, if yes rhen show up at 1230 for the 1pm family group you don't have to have a paper to visit
No Counselors are working after 5. Try in the morning after 830am
501 Park South Ave. Hohenwald, TN. 38462
Hell no they will not give messages to pts or anything like that they didn't let her have the clothes I sent because there was a hole the size of pencil in the knee
You are allowed to write and send out mail whenever you'd like. It is better to bring your own envelopes and stamps. When others send you mail or packages it must be addressed to you with the facility's address you will be at. The policy with mail is that once it has been delivered, it has to be given to your counselor and your counselor will then have you open it with them present.
The 2nd and the 4th sundays, must be on an approved list, counselor approves after contact, and be there by 1245pm for family session, then visit is from 2 til 4
28-30 days usually but can be a little bit longer depending on the needs of the client
Dollar General store has inside the United States state-to-state calling cards but don't spend more than $5 as your loved one will not be able to call you there first two weeks there and they also only let you call once a week
Buffalo Valley works off the twelve steps of recovery. There is no discrimination whatsoever and people of all religions are welcome.
It is recommended up to 7 pairs of clothes and two pairs of shoes, as well as pajamas. There are washers and dryers at each facility so they can wash their clothes, too.
Buffalo Valley is state funded and can get legal grants for clients to come in. Just call and ask about the legal grants.
Generally speaking, Buffalo Valley is a 28 day stay. Whether it's a residential or intensive outpatient stay. Just depends on the payor source.
