A very nice little trail for a evening walk, clear your mind, very peaceful.

Very well-kept space, with well-marked trails and timely signage. It is a place to enjoy the sound of nature and the life of that ecosystem.

Hi, Stancil. Savannas Recreation Area is a St. Lucie County park on Midway Road, Fort Pierce, with a campground that takes reservations. Please call them at 772-464-7855. We are Savannas Preserve State Park and do not have campsites. Sue
The trails are multi-use--bicycle, hiking, and horseback riding--and in some spots there is soft sand for which you'll need fat tires. None of the trails are paved.
Hi Michael, electric outboard motors are permitted in the freshwater marsh. Please be cautious as water levels are shallow right now - the marsh is rain water fed so the levels change drastically thorughout the year.
Hi Jessica! Although we do have a lot of alligators in the park, we don't see them very often. They like to stay in more quiet, remote areas of the marsh. The best location at the Savannas Preserve State Park to see an alligator would be at our main entrance Canoe Launch. The address is 2541 SE Walton Road, Port St Lucie; take the dirt road on the left down to the very end. There are a few juvenile alligators that hang out in that area sometimes.
The Hawk's Bluff area does not have a pavilion. The only pavilions are at the Jensen Beach entrance on Jensen Beach Blvd. and at the SE Walton Road entrance of the park.
Freshwater decent bass fishing, good pan fishing. Lots of gators and birds to see.
Yes but they must be on a leash and cleaned up after, there is a dog station at the beginning of the trail.
It would be difficult on the south side of the trail (probably about 50% of the whole trail) because it is all sugar sand.
Yeah you can fish there
