After I took my first class with Lynne, (Silk Knotting) it was so much fun, I was hooked! I left with a gorgeous necklace I made myself. It looks professionally made and I am proud to wear and show it off! More than 15 different jewelry classes are offered with almost all of them requiring no prior experience.
During the school year, a Youth Art Jewelry Academy meets every other week to learn jewelry making techniques and make a variety of projects. It is appropriate for kids 11 through 18. Mom and Me classes are also offered year round when requested for children 5 and up.
Suwannee Song Designs currently offers classes on silk knotting pearls or stones, wire-wrapping stones and other wire techniques, various beading projects, metal working, including brazing and joining metals with rivets, and jewelry design.
Although we do have a large selection of handcrafted semi-precious stone rings, we do not carry diamond jewelry.
No, we do not provide watch repair services.
Clasp replacement or repair, earring conversion to clip-ons, and many jewelry repairs are available for silver, copper or plated jewelry.
Yes, pearls or other beads can be restrung, professionally hand-knotted on quality silk. The cost is $5 an inch for pearls 6mm and up. Smaller pearls will cost more as there would be more knots. Silk is included
