Great place to go with kids

Good boat launch for a great stretch of the river. Long and narrow for baking a boat trailer, but doable and good for kayak or canoe launch

One of those quiet backwood trails next to the Suwanee. Would have been a 5 if parking was laid out better

A nice trail that connects with the Florida Trail to make a loop, past a huge old Oak tree. The Florida Trail is along the Suwannee River and the Withlacoochee River. Very peaceful and beautiful.

There is a primitive campsite near the middle of the loop by the confluence of the two rivers. This is Suwannee River State Park, so you have to get a permit from the state park office and pay the usual fees.
Get a map from the Suwannee River State Park Ranger station. This is a 6.2 mile loop plus a six mile round trip to get to the trail head and back, or you could kayak to it.
