Back Nine Tavern at Southington Country Club

9/1/22 The Back Nine Tavern offered beautiful outdoor dining overlooking the course on this fantastic late summer afternoon with my dear friends Dave and Patti N. I started with a cup of chili that was pretty good (glad I ordered a cup, the bowl would've been too much with the burger) but was easily upstaged by the bacon, cheddar cheeseburger that came after. Pat had a chef salad with grilled steak that surprised us all with the size of sliced steak the salad was topped with. She declared it very good and enough for at least one more meal....maybe two. Dave opted for a combo turkey/corned beef Reuben that looked the size of two. He said it was really good. We all agreed that it was a better than average lunch, both quality and quantity wise. The Back Nine will likely be in our rotation for future lunches.
