I have been ordering from knowseafood for about a year now. We eat the salmon often and it's is delicious! The tiny lobsters are delicious. The scallops are delicious! The Cobia burgers are pretty good for a fish burger. But the colossal shrimp? Omg! I miss good shrimp so much. No matter how much money I spend I'm dissapointed. But THESE ARE PERFECT! FIRM! FLESHY! SNAPPY! FLAVORFUL! Grilled them and devoured them! These are worth the price! So good!

I bought the Wild Coho Alaskan Salmon $135 package with a $20 1st time discount for my son's birthday. My son lives a heat wave...100-degrees plus...so had it delivered to a local UPS store. Here is my son's description of th he delivery...he works with Shipping for a living: "It was still frozen solid. Lol. The black ice on top of it was nearly gone, but the block underneath it was still pretty large(12"x12"x1") when it got here. So it probably could have made it another day. They packed it well." He was amazed that this package filled a full bin in his chest freezer.

I have ordered from Know Seafood at least a dozen times and everything has been delicious, perfectly packaged, arrived frozen all the way from MA to CA. It's always fresh and we especially like the halibut, scallops and salmon patties. One of my orders came a day late and arrived in a box that obviously was not a Know Seafood carton. It had been repackaged by UPS and the fish had thawed! I contacted Know Seafood and sent pictures of the odd package my fish had arrived in. They got back to me immediately and were most gracious, sent a replacement for my order, and it arrived frozen like a rock! I would recommend their fish and their very fine customer service to anyone any day!

I feel like I've been duped with the ol bait and switch. The first order was great and I was happy to share with friends and family. Then I placed a much larger order to stock up and it was hit or miss. The coho salmon was still great but so far the tuna, cod and branzino had such a strong fishy stench that fresh fish would never have. Not sure if I'll try for a third time, still have to get through the rest of this order.

Yes, there can be a bruise and is normal on Monkfish as the tail is a very active mucsle for this species.
Hi Jane, Swai is in the genus Pangasius family (so is catfish) and is from Southeast Asia. It is primarliy a farm rasied species that comes from Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia to the US in frozen fillets. For me, it doesn't have much taste so it is usally served as a fried fish with a coating. Compared to other fish, swai is a inexpensive substitute, often costing a third to quarter the price of other fish. It's comparable to light, white fish such as flounder, sole, and grouper, but because of the similarities, there have been plenty of cases of fish fraud as it does not taste anything like those other species which are wild caught. Hope this answers your question. Dan
Hi Nancy! Great question and thanks for reaching out! Right now, we are only an online seafood market. :)
