Parking for the walking trail is begind the Canton Department of Public Works. The gravel lot has space for 15-20 cars. During today's visit, people were launching canoes and kayaks from their vehicles. The views of the river are beautiful, with many enjoying time on the water. On the shore, folks were riding their bikes, or reading in the shade. Stand-up paddleboards may be rented, shop for antiques, or dine outdoors in the warm weather. A gender neutral bathroom is accessible on the side of the DPW building.

Great walk during any time of the year. This trail is part of the Farmington River Trail not be confused with the Farmington Canal trail which you do connect to but the river trail has tremendous views.
