Got the Havana Bold from the deli and it was the best sub I've ever had! The hot bar is Lit too. And CHEAP. Chicken plate with 2 sides is only 5 bucks!

One of the best place to buy birthday cake. Publix is a little expensive,but quality is there. What I mostly buy there; fruits,ice cream,water ,veggies and other more. They also have subway and take out inside the shop.

Great grocery store. Lot to choose from and at reasonable prices. And check out the deli. They have fresh hot food that is always good and I've recently tried their subs which are made right there in front of you using fresh meats from the deli and fresh cheeses. Very good and fresh check it out.

I want to say that for the most part that my experience at the Publix in Mechanicsville has been pleasant. I ordered from the bakery for my daughters first birthday and the two ladies that helped me with this process we were friendly and patient. However when I came to pick up my order I wasn’t greeted with same friendliest and patient attitude. When I arrived, no one was behind the counter. So waited patiently for someone to assist me. I was on my phone for second to text my husband to make sure there wasn’t anything we needed last minute for the party. And a staff member greeted me by telling me that they find it extremely rude for customers to be on there phones. Keep mind I was there by myself for probably 2-3 minutes waiting, there wasn’t a line nor had I been helped. I was just waiting. This encounter caught me off guard and I get it, you probably get a lot customers on their phones but it wasn’t like I was ignoring this particular staff member as she was trying to help me nor was I being disruptive. I did tell her I was just waiting for someone come back to the counter but I found her to be rude and she made an assumption about me being on the phone. I really didn’t want to purchase the cake/cupcakes I had ordered after this and I am not sure I will in the future.
