I give two stars because the food is disgusting. The facilty and staff are wonderful but after over two years of gross food i cannot give higher rating. Everyone complains about it. The portions are small and meat is so tough elderly cannot even chew it. They serve so much pork. The quality is so poor. The dinner offerings are either sandwiches or some other tidbit. Imagine living here where you cant even look forward to a decent meal! What team? I spoke with Scott about the food two years ago and it has only gotten worse. Paula does not care about the residents and makes no effort to improve anything! The only person who truly listens with a sympathetic ear is Damion and sadly i don’t think his position lends itself to help. The food is inedible on many days. The best day of the week is Friday because there is a lunch group that goes out or has food delivered from area restaurants! I challenge any of the management to eat 3 meals a day here for a full week and tell us honestly what you think!

My mother and stepfather have been there for about a year and a half now and the place keeps getting worse and worse. The food is often inedible - luckily at this point they can care for themselves and cook as they choose, but there are people living there that simply can't and are left to fend for themselves. They pay thousands a month, and literally have butter pats 'rationed'. They often run out of portions of the meal and scrimp and save with the rest. Beef stew was on the menu a few weeks ago - there were about 5 half inch pieces of beef in the entire meal. It's literally like they're being served scraps. They can't keep staff, and the place is becoming very rundown. The back deck (which is touted in pictures as having a 'professional chef' cooking for them on a grill) is literally unusable, and closed off. It is unsafe. Since there aren't enough staff, they have maintenance people serving food, and staff is quitting because they're being asked to do things that have nothing to do with their job. I can only imagine what they're paid. Stay -away- from this place. (In response to their reply, we HAVE complained to local 'leadership'. Which manager should we complain to? Any of the three within the last year? They have done -NOTHING- and it's only gotten worse.)

My mother and her husband live there now and the food especially is pretty bad. They currently do not have a chef (he went on vacation and his replacement left so they’ll be a week without a chef?) so today’s meals were cold cereal for breakfast (they were told they couldn’t even make them toast) a grinder for lunch and pizza for dinner. Other days even with their chef they offer one small entree for dinner and cottage cheese and fruit for the alternative. And they are paying an extra $790/month for food the extra person. And they are already paying more money because they have a 2 bedroom place? I am appalled and very disappointed in the facility. This is not an assisted living facility so they don’t get a lot of services to start with but the food has been bad from the start and is going very quickly downhill. They do run out of food often, give tiny portions, use too much salt for elderly people and the residents pay close to $4500 for a 2 bedroom with 2 people. Not okay. On a positive note, I’ve heard good things about Ashley and Brendan. Tonight’s update: they “ran out” of the dinner that my mom was going to bring to her husband so she asked for a sandwich to bring him up, as they’ve done in the past. She was told “oh we aren’t doing that anymore”. He had a cup of soup for dinner. Seriously?? Totally unacceptable!!
