It would be nice if they had a list of days they were not open when the website says they are.

So, as I was speaking with a fellow shooter at this range. The range officer (a war veteran and retired LEO), overheard me mention the word "training"', and he quickly interjected, and I quote "training, training for what?", you can't say training." Along with not being able to shoot silhouette, animal(game), targets. I'm confused. Isn't the range supposed to be the place you go to feel comfortable while exercising your 2nd Amendment right, and the 1st Amendment as well? The place to go to become proficient with the firearm we own. (train·ing- instruction, teaching, tutelage, schooling, education, grounding, guidance, etc, etc, etc... In ending, why aren't there more days available for it's citizens?

What Caribou said. Unless you're an LEO. Also, they're not going to be checking if your AR is registered. Just be respectful. The rangemasters are very competent there and will treat you according to your behavior.
No, they don't have any guns to rent. You have to bring your own.
Yes, but I believe it’s slugs only and bench shooting, no standing.
You can now call the Range in saturdays 10am- 330pm Someone WILL ANSWER
Phones ARE now fixed! Very sorry for inconvenience
Its community training lol. Just follow the range officers orders.
A max of 50 yards
There are no permit services available at Islip Town Range.
Every time ive gone ive brought my own, so im honestly not sure, but i BELIEVE that you do.
(License needed if you have hand guns) . Bring your rifle keep it in the case and obey all range commands to the letter.
Under 16 yrs SPRING FIRE ONLY EX: BB GUN 16YRS+ aloud to shoot 22
Yes range is open on saturdays to public 10- 4
They treat active LEOs very well. I'm not a veteran, so don't have the experience, but I imagine they do right by them. The Town of Islip has a general policy of doing the right thing for veterans.
As far as i know, all pistols and rifles. 50 yard max range. Islip residents cheap range fee. Non residents i believe over $20 call them or see if there is a website. Very limited days and hours.
